Pieces
Decide which parts of the body need cover. Full jackets give the most protection. Sleeves, capes and aprons are cooler and can be combined for each task.
- Jacket (length, collar, front closure)
- Apron or bib apron (length chest to knee)
- Sleeves (length shoulder to wrist)
- Shoulder cape for overhead welding
- Leg guards or spats
Materials
- Split leather weight and colour
- Lining, if any (flame-retardant cotton on selected pieces)
- Heat-resistant thread
- Closures: snaps, buckles, straps or hook-and-loop
Sizes
Give a size breakdown for jackets and the lengths you need for aprons and sleeves. Measurements from your workers are better than guesses.
Standards
If your workers need clothing tested to a specific standard, name it in your enquiry. Leather resists sparks and short heat well, but it is not fire-proof.
Branding and packing
Logo print or patch, sewn labels, one piece per bag, carton marks.
