Protective Mechanic Gloves for Workshop Applications

Flexible gloves with a padded or reinforced palm and a close-fitting back. Made for people who use tools all day and want a glove that stays on.

For tool brands, workshop suppliers and distributors. 50 pairs per article minimum.

Built around the way mechanics work

Mechanics need a glove that fits like a second skin on the back of the hand but adds some padding where tools press into the palm. A loose glove gets caught. A stiff glove gets taken off and left on the bench.

Our mechanic gloves usually combine a synthetic or real leather palm with a stretch back and an adjustable hook-and-loop wrist. Some styles add padding in the palm for vibration and grip, and some add knuckle and finger guards for work where hands get knocked.

This category is popular with tool and automotive brands that sell gloves under their own name. We can match colours to your range and put your logo on the back or cuff.

Where mechanic gloves are used

  • Garages and service centres: general repairs, wheel changes and engine work.
  • Plant and equipment maintenance: fitting, adjusting and handling tools.
  • Motorsport pit crews: fast work where fit and dexterity matter.
  • Tool and automotive retail: branded gloves sold alongside your tool range.

Impact guards and padded palms reduce knocks and pressure, but they do not make a glove suitable for every hazard. If you need a tested impact or cut level, include the standard in your enquiry and we will confirm what we can supply.

Mechanic Gloves: common questions

Are mechanic gloves made of real leather?

Many are made with synthetic leather palms because they stay soft after washing and hold their shape. We also make goatskin and cowhide palm versions. Tell us which you prefer.

Can you match our brand colours?

Yes. Send us colour references (Pantone numbers or a physical sample) and we will match the back fabric and trims on the sample.

Can you add knuckle protection to an existing design?

Often, yes. Send us the design or a sample and we will tell you what can be added without hurting fit and movement.

What is the minimum order?

50 pairs per article. Branded retail packaging may need larger runs because of printing costs; we will tell you if that applies.

Can mechanic gloves be washed?

It depends on the materials. Many synthetic-palm styles handle gentle washing. We can include care instructions on your labels once the materials are confirmed.
